Welcome to Belfairs Ward
We in Belfairs are very fortunate in having a very prestigious park in the ward.
It holds a golf course, a children’s playground which is being, with advice from local parents of disabled children, restructured by the Parks Technical Department, so that these children can enjoy these facilities safely. There is also a very attractive children’s adventure play area in the woods. There is also the new Woodland Centre, run by the Essex Wildlife Trust, built in the park.
We have a thriving Belfairs Residents Association, which is very well organised and run. The residents meet at St Aidans Hall, to discuss issues in the area with our local councillors. They also hold regular coach outings and theatre trips.
Also held at St Aidans Hall, is an amateur dramatics group who regularly meet on a Monday evening, and is always very well supported at all their productions.
There are a number of care homes and warden attended residences in the Ward, which are ably looked after by our three very active councillors
This is a very safe and happy area in which we live.
