Councillors Encourage Trust Link Events
Southend Conservative Councillors for St Laurence Ward David McGlone and Mark Flewitt, and Steve Buckley are encouraging residents to take part in local mental health and wellbeing charity, Trust Links events.
The events include:
21st September - Walking Together - Fundraising for Trust Links
5th October - Apple Day - St Laurence Orchard
1st November - Garden Ride - At all Trust Link sites
30th November - Christmas Fayre - Westcliff Site
Cllr Mark Flewitt said,
"We are so very lucky in Southend to have such a wonderful charity in our town. Trust Links helps people who have some very serious mental health issues indeed, they give them a let out. A way to live their lives to the fullest.
"Sometimes just having something that helps focus the mind can make all the difference in these circumstances. We must do all we can to help this wonderful charity as we never know when their services may be needed either by our loved ones or even by ourselves.
"I urge as many people to take part in these events and show their support."
